Candle Care

To get the longest, cleanest burn from your candle, a little care goes a long way. Each of our candles is hand-poured in small batches, and maintaining proper candle care ensures an even melt, a stronger scent throw, and a safe burn every time.

How to Burn Your Candle

Always allow a full melt pool.
Let the wax reach the edges of the vessel on the first burn. This prevents tunneling and helps your candle burn evenly from start to finish.

Burn in 2–4 hour sessions.
This keeps the wick healthy, maintains an even melt pool, and prolongs the life of your candle.

Wick Care

Trim to 1/8–1/4 inch before each burn.
A short wick ensures the wood crackles gently and burns cleanly. You can pinch off the charred wood between burns once the candle is cool.

If the flame seems low, blow out the candle, trim the wick, and relight. Wooden wicks self-adjust but may need a quick reset.

Safety Tips

  • Always burn candles on a stable, heat-resistant surface.
  • Keep away from drafts, curtains, and flammable objects.
  • Never leave a burning candle unattended.
  • Stop burning when 1/2 inch of wax remains at the bottom of the vessel.
  • Keep out of reach of children and pets.

Reusing Your Concrete Vessel

Once your candle is finished, your handcrafted concrete container can be reused as:

  • A planter
  • A pen or makeup brush holder
  • A small storage cup
  • A decorative piece

Simply remove remaining wax, wash with warm soapy water, and enjoy.
